It is necessary to
install Dial-up Networking and TCP/IP protocol, following
the steps described:
|

Open
Control Panel and then Add/Remove Programs. |
 |
Choose
Windows Setup, click on Communications and press Details.
You have to click on Dial-up networking. Press OK, and add
appropriate installation diskettes (or CD) following the steps as
suggested from the PC. |
 |
In
Control Panel choose Networks, select Add, Adapter,
Microsoft, Dial-up. |
 |
In
Control Panel, Networks, choose Add, Protocol,
Microsoft, TCP/IP and confirm OK. |
 |
Click
OK and upon request from the Windows reset the PC. |
|
In this way you have
installed Dial-up Networking and connected it to TCP/IP protocol.
The next step is to define your InfoSky connection.

Open
My Computer, Dial Up Networking and choose Make New
Connection. |
 |
In
the Provider field enter InfoSky. Press the Configure key in
order to configure the modem. |
 |
In
the sub menu General, enter COMM port to which your modem is
connected (usually what has been offered), choose your tone volume
and modem speed set to 115200. Field Connect Only At This Speed has
to remain empty |
 |
Configuration
continues - press Next |
 |
Enter
11 in the city code number field, and one of our dial-up
telephone numbers in the telephone field. Enter 381 (Yugoslavia)
in the field for international code. Click Next |
 |
Enter
the desired name for this connection - e.g. InfoSky. Click Finish
- you have got an icon with the new connection. |
 |
Click
on this icon with the right key on your mouse and chose Properties. |
 |
In General panel, options Use
country code and area code should remain unmarked
|
 |
Click
on Server Type. |
 |
In the server type field chose PPP.
In the Allowed Network Protocols , only TCP/IP is
to be selected. In Advance Options select Software Compression
|
 |
Press TCP/IP Settings. Choose
Server Assigned IP Address and Specify Name Server Addresses.
Enter 195.250.98.5
in Primary DNS, and 195.250.98.8
in Secondary DNS. Options Use
Default Gateway on Remote Network i IP Header Compression
should be checked.

Click
three times OK - the connection is ready. |
 |
Enter
the connection by double click - enter your user name in the Username
field, and your password in the row below. In case you have made a
mistake while entering telephone number, you now have the chance to
correct it in the Phone Number field. |
 |
Click
Connect - the modem will start dialing InfoSky's number. |
 |
Depending
on the selected modem tone volume, you will hear a specific sound
which signalizes modem connection. If the communication is established,
you will get message informing you that you have made a good connection,
at the speed of, e.g. 28800 bps. |

Welcome
to Internet !!! If you have not done it already, start your favourite
Internet program (Netscape or Internet Explorer)

You can get Internet Explorer
free of charge, either from your friends, in a CD club or download
it from the web. After installing it, you should configure it in
the following way:

you have IE 3.X release, you should choose options VIEW, OPTIONS
(INTERNET OPTIONS in case of release 4.x) and then click CONNECTION
tab. |

In the part of the window called CONNECTION
choose CONNECT TO THE INTERNET USING A MODEM, and SETTINGS
afterwards, where you will choose previously defined provider connection.

Check whether your browser supports
Automatic Proxy Configuration.
If it does enter http://proxy.InfoSky.Net/proxy.pac in the
URL field and then click Refresh when you are already on the net,
and if not
|

In the PROXY SERVER
section click by ACCESS THE INTERNET USING A PROXY SERVER,
and under it enter: proxy.InfoSky.Net
port 8080, and under ADVANCED
in the Do not use proxy for field enter:
*.InfoSky.Net;*.infosky.net

As Infosky user you
are provided with e-mail address. If your user name is laza,
then your e-mail address is laza@InfoSky.Net. In the personal
data section enter the following parameters e.g: your e-mail address
= laza@InfoSky.Net). In the MAIL SERVER field, enter : pop3.InfoSky.Net
for INCOMING and:mail.InfoSky.Net
for OUTGOING

news.InfoSky.Net in the NEWS
(NNTP) SERVER |

Netscape is one of
the most popular Internet browsers that you can get either from
your friends, from a CD club or download from Internet. After installing,
it should be configured in the manner described below. If you have
Netscape Communicator 4.0 release or a later one, do not look for
item OPTION, but for EDIT-PREFERENCES instead

In OPTIONS menu,
choose GENERAL and APPEARANCE, and enter www.InfoSky.Net
in the Start field
|

In
OPTIONS menu, choose NETWORK PREFERENCES i PROXIES. |

Check
whether your browser supports Automatic

an Infosky user you are provided with e-mail address. If your user
name is laza, then your e-mail address is laza@InfoSky.Net.
Choose MAIL and NEWS PREFERENCES and SERVER in OPTIONS
menu. Enter mail.InfoSky.Net in
SMTP server field (Outgoing mail server), pop3.InfoSky.Net
in POP server (incomming mail server), and your user name(e.g. laza)
in POP username. Enter your personal data (e.g. your email = laza@InfoSky.Net,
reply to = laza@InfoSky.Net) in sub menu IDENTITY. |

news.InfoSky.Net in NEWS (NNTP)
SERVER field. |

Automatic Proxy server configuration
is a Netscape browser feature, starting from 3.0 release, as well as Internet
Explorer feature, starting from 4.0 release. If you want to use this possibility,
when setting up proxy configuration, enter the value outlined below in
the corresponding field, and click Reload, then OK when you are already
on the net, so that your browser could load the new proxy configuration
