Step-by-step set up for
Netscape Navigator

 

Requirements:

- Netscape Navigator 2.0, 3.0 or Netscape Communicator 4.0 or newer installed on your computer

Netscape is free browser, delivered with any version of windows. Also, you can get it from friend, CD club, or download it from Internet. After installation, you should configure it as it follows:

If you have Netscape Communicator 4.0 or newer, replace Options with Edit - Preferences
- In menu Options choose General, Appearance and in Start field enter www.InfoSky.Net
- In menu Options choose Network Preferences and Proxies.
- Check whether your browser supports Automatic Proxy Configuration. If it does, enter http://proxy.InfoSky.Net/proxy.pac in the URL field and then click Refresh when you are already on the net, and if not,
- in the Proxy server section click by Access the Internet using a proxy server and under it enter:
proxy.InfoSky.Net port 8080 and in Advanced field Do not use proxy for enter: .InfoSky.Net,.infosky.net

- As Infosky user, you now have your own e-mail address. If your user name is laza, than your e-mail address is laza@InfoSky.Net.

- In menu Options choose Mail and News Preferences and Server.
- In SMTP server field (Outgoing mail server) enter mail.InfoSky.Net,
- In POP server field (Incoming mail server) enter pop3.InfoSky.Net, and in POP username field enter your username (e.g. laza).
- In submenu Identity enter your personal data (e.g. : your e-mail = laza@InfoSky.Net, reply to = laza@InfoSky.Net)
- In News (NNTP) Server field enter news.InfoSky.Net.
- All these parameters are valid for other Netscape versions.
